Ms. Armstrong
Ms. Armstrong grew up in Horsham, Pennsylvania, a suburb
of Philadelphia and moved to Springfield as a high school junior and has loved
it ever since! She enjoys reading,
writing, traveling, and spending time with her friends and family. She graduated from Evangel University in 2002
with a Bachelors degree in Social Science Education. She decided to further her education at Drury
University in 2006 with a M.Ed in Curriculum and Instruction and again in 2012
with a M.Ed in Instructional Technology.
Ms. Armstrong is starting her twelfth year of teaching and
learning! All twelve have been at Pipkin
and she has enjoyed it very much! In
April of 2011 she was named Springfield Public Schools' 2011-2012 Teacher of
the Year and had an amazing experience representing such a dedicated group of
individuals!
Ms. Armstrong loves to instill a passion for our country in her students, along with a broad diverse base of international learning! Ms. A has visited 40 of our 50 states and been to various places throughout Honduras, Belize, Jamaica, Grand Cayman, Mexico, Canada, London, England and Cardiff, Wales, UK! She is an International Baccalaureate workshop leader and site visitor and loves helping teachers find unique ways to teach their students while staying true to their calling!
